STEP 05 OF 05

Issued for Purchase

The datasheet is now primary. Revision 1 is Issued for Purchase, and behind it sits the complete trail from the P&ID revision to the final datasheet revision.

What happens

  • The datasheet becomes the source of truth once it is stamped and frozen.
  • The MR schedule tracks the steps from client review through RFQ, bids, evaluation and client approval to Issue IFP.
  • Each step has an owner, a duration and a flag for whether the client sees it.
  • Before issue, run a squad check on the MR group: build the package, review the notice, then send it to Document Control.
  • Before purchase, the Rev 0B datasheets go out for quotation and the bids are evaluated: see Issuing for quotation and Evaluating bids. A stamped PDF is optional at quotation but required at Issued for Purchase.

What the system keeps

  • The full revision history, from the P&ID to the purchase revision.
  • The MR schedule with planned dates.
  • A change log you can hand to the client.

Try it in the demo

  • MR board tab: Follow an MR package through its schedule.
  • Change log tab: Trace any datasheet back through its revisions.
  • Validation tab: Run the checks before you issue.
  • Issue for quotation and Bid evaluation tabs: Package the 0B datasheets for vendors, then evaluate the bids.

To try this in the tracker, request access at tracker@inc.10mb.com. The project is a fictional gas plant, so edit freely.

You can: browse every tab, edit tags and datasheets, download and upload Excel files, run sign-off, freeze revisions and run the validation checks.
You cannot: reset the demo data, change the status date or the sign-off setup (administrators only), or open the WordPress admin area.
Reset: the demo reloads every night at 3:00 am Pacific, so nothing you save is kept. Please do not enter real or confidential information.
